REAL POWER: MAXING OUT ON GOD'S LOVE |
SUSPEND YOUR DISBELIEF
Faith isn’t something that we do. Rather, it’s something that God
does to us when we suspend our disbelief and place our trust in him.
God is the source of all good things, and that includes faith. Faith
belongs to God and comes from him. When we suspend our disbelief,
faith takes control. We get out of the way and stop limiting God. We
take the handcuffs off God so that He can start working miracles in
our life.
We don’t have to have faith. It’s faith that has to have us. When
faith takes over, our expectations change. God shows us who we are
and what we can do with our lives.
Faith is like a mighty river dammed up by unbelief. When we
suspend our disbelief and get out of the way, the river of faith
sweeps away our limitations and fills our lives with positive expectations.
When we get in agreement with God, faith takes over, and there is no
limit to how good our life can become.
SPREAD YOUR WINGS
AND FLY
If I wait until everything is
perfect, and I know exactly what I'm doing, I will never live my
dreams.
I can think of dozens of reasons why now isn't a good time to spread
my wings and fly.
I need more experience before I get started. I need to be older and
more mature before I launch out. I need to be stronger to have the
ability to endure and persevere. I need to get permission from my
parents, my boss, the government, and God. I need to wait until
tomorrow or next week when I am better prepared. I need to wait until
conditions are more favorable before I spread my wings and fly.
All of those things may be true, but if I accept them as reality, I
may as well say good-bye to my dreams. They will not happen.
But I'm not going to listen to the voice of limitation and fear.
I've already spread my wings, and I'm soaring on the updrafts of God's
love. I'm not waiting until I'm older; I've given myself permission
to live my dreams now, and I'll get the experience I need along the
way.
TOUCHING GOD
I love taking pictures of butterflies. When I photographed this one,
I felt like I was touching God. The light was just right and the
beauty so stunning that I couldn't believe my eyes.
That's the way God's beauty is; when you see it, you just can't
believe your eyes.
When God created the world He had a master
plan. He decided that everything He touched would turn to beauty.
God doesn't do ugly. He only does beauty, and He does it on a grand
scale. Beauty is God's fingerprint.
Everything that God creates is beautiful.
I've been alive for more than half a century and during all those
years I've never found anything created by God that wasn't beautiful.
I think that's why I love beauty so much. It's the closest I can come
to actually touching God. It's like God and I are living on opposite
sides of a two way mirror. On his side He touches things and makes
them beautiful. On my side I touch the same things and experience his
beauty. I can see the tip of his finger and my finger coming together
in a million beautiful places around the world.
