GOD'S PART AND YOUR PART
God’s dream for your life is better than anything you can imagine.
God’s plan for your life is full of open doors that only you can
close. God not only has a plan, He has backup plans just in case you
have problems along the way. Your mistakes are not a surprise to God,
and He has more contingency plans than you have mistakes. God is in
it with you for the long haul, and when you get in agreement with him,
awesome things start to happen.
Your part is to trust God no matter what happens. God’s part is to
take what happens and to turn it into something good.
Your part is to open your mind to God’s love. God’s part is to fill
your mind with thoughts that are consistent with his love which
eliminates your twisted thinking.
Your part is to open your heart to God’s love. God’s part is to fill
your heart with emotions that are consistent with his love which heals
your damaged emotions.
God is always faithful to do his part if you do yours. But doing your
part must come first. When you live a life of excellence with a heart
full of love, God does all the rest.
STAKES AND MISTAKES
When elephants are babies, their trainers use rope to tether one leg
to a stake that has been securely driven into the ground. The young
elephant tries to roam around, but the short tether keeps him right
where he is. He can walk a small distance, but never far.
When the elephant is fully grown, the trainer uses the same small
tether to attach the adult elephant to a stake in the ground. The
elephant could easily break the rope or pull the stake out, but he
doesn’t do it. In his brain He believes that he is shackled to an
immoveable stake. A small rope and stake immobilize him. A mistake
controls his life.
The same thing happens to us when we grow up. We have all kinds of
tethers and stakes that exist only in our mind.
How many mistakes do you have in your mind? How many of your
limitations are simply a figment of your imagination? Where could you
go without the stakes and tethers in your mind? What could you
accomplish if you left those mistakes behind?
GOD SUPPLIES
ALL MY NEEDS AND FILLS MY LIFE WITH ABUNDANCE.
I am in partnership with God. When I do my part, God does his part
and supplies all my needs. God opens the windows of heaven and his
blessings fall all around.
Jesus said, "Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock
and the door will be opened unto you." He also said, "I have come
that you might have life, and have it more abundantly."
God is a God of abundance, and there are no shortages in his Kingdom
of Love. God is more willing to supply my needs than I am willing to
receive. All I need to do is get in agreement with him, and let him
work miracles in my life. I need to say yes to God.
But I am more than a partner of God. I am also one of his children.
I swim in his ocean of abundance, and I am immersed in his ocean of
love.
Heroes of faith know that it’s not
about them. It’s about God making big things happen. God looks for
ordinary people who have a willing heart, and who put their trust in
him. With God’s help, ordinary people do extraordinary things.
Little is much when God is in it.
